MONTBARTIER / 82

71 000 sq.m of logistic
and environmental excellence

Concerto Grand Sud

Develop a logistics hub to meet the needs of local development of the territory (for residents, businesses and their employees) while respecting the environment and the living environment.

Create a regional business park

The Communauté de Communes Grand Sud Tarn et Garonne, of which Montbartier is a member, has created the Zone d’Activité Grand Sud Logistique in order to establish a logistic sector able to radiate in the whole region and to contribute to the dynamism of the territory. The zone is developed in a sustainable way. The management of wooded areas, pastures, wetlands and the biodiversity present in the area are proof of this.

The zone is ideally located, at the crossroads of the A62 (Bordeaux-Sètes) and A20 (Paris-Toulouse) highways. The logistics platform covers a total area of 450 hectares and will create 2,000 jobs. It has all the necessary services to welcome companies in the logistics sector in the best conditions.

Offering tailor-made solutions for companies…

Attracted by the strategic location of the area, EASYDIS, CASINO’s group’s logistics subsidiary, has entrusted Concerto, a Kaufman & Broad subsidiary dedicated to logistics, with the construction of a bi-temperature logistics platform (ambient/positive cold). It is intended to supply the 1,200 stores in the south of France.

The platform delivered to EASYDIS is a new generation, XXL Class A warehouse. With a surface area of 71,000 sq.m and an outdoor storage area, it is designed to receive dry and fresh products (3 positive cold cells).

In addition to its logistical excellence, it also stands out for its environmental exemplarity: LEED SILVER certification, photovoltaic roof generating more than 6 megawatts of power, photovoltaic parking shade, wastewater treatment of road water, green roof on offices, rainwater recovery for watering green spaces.

… and attractive for their employees!

Quality of life in the workplace has also been taken into account: 4,000 square meters of office space with a fully equipped company restaurant and outdoor tables, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, a fully equipped waste management area, a forklift maintenance workshop, access control and automatic reading of heavy vehicle license plates.

“Architecturally, measures are in place to ensure the quality of the buildings and their integration into the territory, with a focus on sober architecture and a limited number of materials.”

Environmental protection is, in fact, at the heart of the Park’s development principles, in order to avoid, limit or compensate for the impact on the environment and the landscape: to ensure the planting of diverse plant species to promote biodiversity, to reinforce the wooded area. In this new development plan, the wetlands will be protected or some will be restored in order to maintain the quality of the environment.
