Le Quartz is a mixed real estate program, in the heart of the Lyon metropolitan area, which is part of the Grand Parilly development project, an innovative district that extends over 20 hectares.

Erasing borders between neighbourhood to live and shopping centre

At the gates of Lyon, the city of Vénissieux, Lyon Métropole and Immobilière Leroy Merlin have made the bet to create the “Grand Parilly”,  an innovative district, half shopping center, half urban center. Eventually, it will house Ikea and Leroy Merlin stores, around 600 housing units, 400 student and senior housing units, offices, a business park, convenience services and shops, restaurants, a hotel, equipment and green public spaces… In short, it will bring together all the uses of the city.

Developer Lionheart, a subsidiary of Leroy Merlin and the city of Venissieux, chose Kaufman & Broad to build 3 buildings comprising a hotel with 111 rooms, 800 sq.m. of retail space and 107 free, intermediate and social housing units.

Bringing much more than expertise in hotel and residential real estate

As part of this ambitious project, we have been able to respond to the architectural problem of a modern neighborhood and the diversity of the desired programming.

Contemporary architecture fully contributes to the identity of the neighbourhood, both urban, lively and nature oriented. It creates harmonious coexistence with neighbouring achievements.

Building on its close relationships with leading tourism and retail chains, Kaufman & Broad was able to offer Eklo, a hotel partner, in response to the competition. Similarly, one of the shops will be occupied by a well known franchise of Lyonnais, Ninkasi, brewer of beers and creator of places of conviviality.

In addition to real estate expertise, Kaufman & Broad demonstrates its ability to work closely with international and local retailers.

Promoting all social diversity

25 of the 107 housing units are intended for social rental use, 50 for intermediate rental use and 32 for free access. An offer that meets all stages of the residential path.
