Kaufman & Broad delivers an office building in the heart of the Vache Noire district in Montrouge

Press release • 25 May 2023

In the heart of Montrouge's Vache Noire district (92), The Place offers more than 10,000 m2 of services and space in a Haussmann-style setting.

A strategic location close to Paris

In close proximity of Porte d’Orléans, the transport hub in Chatillon Montrouge and served by the Paris metro lines, The Place is a strategic point in Montrouge in the south of Paris. In addition, the building, located in the Vache Noire district and opposite the shopping centre with the same name, is close to shops and other services that contribute to the dynamism of this growing district.

Office infrastructure that places people at the centre of the project

The Place office building covers 10,147 m2 with 7 floors ranging from 870 to 1,400 m2 of workspace, a ground floor and a garden floor. In addition, 2 floors have an outdoor terrace and large workspaces accommodate up to 900 workstations.

A range of services are available to users over more than 1,000 m2, including a fitness room, a bike club, a 200-seat restaurant, a coffee shop and 300 m2 of green terraces.

An architecture designed to bring light

Designed by the architecture agency Bechu & Associés, The Place is inspired by Haussmann buildings. A technical feat was achieved with the addition of bow windows rhythming the natural stone facade. Large volumes, bright and flexible allow new ways of working with, in particular, modular spaces. The structure of the building is marked by two large stone monoliths that intersect with a wall of backlit photographic planes that plays with transparency to let the light enter.

An environmental requirement

This project aims to meet the environmental challenges of tomorrow, which is why its technical design tends to obtain the Breeam VeryGood, HQE Excellent certifications associated with the Effinergie + label.
